The Total Rewards Director & Business Partner provides subject matter expertise on all aspects of reward to one of our global businesses and is also the reward leader for the EMEA region.
As a trusted partner this position will work closely with HR and business leadership to provide technical expertise, reward insights, and will consult and commercialize the execution of the reward and benefits strategy within the global business it supports and across the EMEA region.
This position is an individual contributor role that is a combination of technical expertise, operational delivery and leading through consulting and influencing. It reports to the SVP & Head of Global Total Rewards and will work closely with the HR leadership in the business it supports.

What will you be doing?

  • To act as a strategic reward business partner for one of our global businesses and provide proactive advice and operational support on all aspects of Total Reward.
  • Undertake comprehensive reward analysis and provide insights and advice on compensation and incentive strategies to support decision-making and business goals.
  • Provide advice in relation to pay reviews (including budgeting and forecasting) and cost optimization for the global business the role supports.
  • Provide guidance and input into organisational design, job evaluation, and market pricing of roles to ensure effective operating models and appropriate pay structures within the business.
  • In partnership with other subject matter experts within Group Reward, analyse and evaluate the effectiveness of existing reward and benefit programs within the EMEA region to determine market competitiveness, alignment with business strategy, and ensure they are relevant and legally compliant.
  • Provide advice and guidance on emerging reward trends within the EMEA region, and where appropriate propose and implement design changes and improvements that will engage a multi-generational and diverse workforce and enhance S+Ns position as an employer of choice.
  • Responsibility for pay range data and pay analysis and benchmarking for roles within the EMEA region.
  • Proactively promote and support the Group Reward activities and programs within the global business the role supports as well as in the EMEA region and help communicate and educate employees and managers on our reward strategy, principles, and programs to improve understanding and enhance engagement.
  • Partner with colleagues in the Reward function, HR, and global business services to ensure delivery of reward and benefits related transactional services in line with operating level agreements and deliver a great employee experience. Serve as a point of escalation on complex cases.
  • Collaborate closely with multiple stakeholders to ensure that reward communication materials are accessible, accurate and fully compliant with relevant regulations.
  • Provide guidance on reward policies and practices, ensuring compliance with company standards and local regulations.

What will you need to be successful?

  • Previous experience as a reward business partner and in designing, delivering, and managing effective reward programs.
  • A strong technical knowledge of compensation, incentives, and benefits with an in-depth knowledge of the EMEA region being desirable.
  • Ability to work at pace and prioritise workload to changing business needs with a proven track record in driving high performance and continuous improvement.
  • Excellent analytical, written and verbal communication skills, with attention to detail and the ability to use logic and data to influence decision making.
  • Experience in building and maintaining strong working relationships with stakeholders at different levels of the organization.
