Position Overview:
We are currently seeking a driven and analytical Master’s Level Compensation Intern to join our Total Rewards Team. This internship offers an opportunity to build up on prior working experience in compensation analysis and strategy within a dynamic and fast-paced organization.
As a Total Rewards - HR Compensation Intern, you will work closely with the Total Rewards team to support various compensation-related projects and initiatives. You will apply your advanced analytical skills to assist in the design, analysis, and implementation of compensation programs, and gain hands-on experience in the field of compensation management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Compensation Analysis: Assist in conducting market research and benchmarking analyses to support competitive compensation practices.
- Data Management: Help maintain and update compensation data, including salary surveys, job evaluations, and compensation structures.
- Reporting: Prepare and analyze compensation reports, including data trends, pay equity analysis, and compensation metrics.
- Program Support: Contribute to the development and administration of compensation programs, such as incentive plans and pay-for-performance strategies.
- Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements within the compensation function and assist in implementing best practices.
- Documentation: Support the creation and updating of compensation policies, guidelines, and job descriptions.
- Project Assistance: Provide support for special projects related to compensation and benefits, including system upgrades and compensation reviews.
Qualifications:
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a Master’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
- Seeking 1-2 years prior compensation or human resources work experience
- Strong analytical skills with proficiency in data analysis and statistical methods.
- Experience with compensation-related software or tools is a plus (e.g., advanced level Excel, compensation management systems, Workday ATS experience is a plus).
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to work with large datasets.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
- Previous experience or coursework related to compensation, finance, or human resources is preferred.
