WHAT WILL MAKE YOU SUCCESSFUL IN THIS ROLE?
- Investigate unsettled currency conversion trades processed on the back-office administration system.
- Process entries to resolve bank reconciliation breaks.
- Process cash payments, fees and invoices for payments as required.
- Liaise with counterparty contacts, internal stakeholders and third-party service providers (where necessary) to resolve reconciliation breaks.
- Prepare reporting on offshore bank reconciliations for management reporting.
- Respond to queries from business regarding bank reconciliations.
- Communicate reconciliation breaks and issues that may impact trading and client reporting to other operations divisions and business.
- Participate in improvement initiatives and projects in the team, business unit and companywide as required.
- Update and maintain process documentation (eg. standard operating procedures, checklists) for reconciliation function.
- Assist other team members when required.
Qualification and Experience
- Tertiary qualification in Business, Finance or Economics.
- Relevant experience within financial services industry is essential.
