REQUIREMENTS:
- Proven experience working in a Trade Compliance department
- Strong understanding of Trade Compliance, Harmonized Tariff Classifications
- Previous experience working with imports and exports in a distribution or manufacturing environment
- Knowledge of commodity code classifications
- Strong customer management skills, both internal and external

Responsibilities:
- Support the collation of risk management and Trade Compliance files for our extensive product portfolio
- Classify products, including commodity codes and Dual Use Regulations
- Facilitate Export transactions, both within and outside the EU/UK
- Ensure compliance with UK/EU and local export regulations, as well as the corporate Global Trade Compliance Manual System (GTCMS)
- Screen proposed transactions for Denied Person and Entities, restricted end-uses, and diversion
- Coordinating and ensuring all daily operational activities are completed in a timely manner and in accordance with Fisher Scientific’s and EU/UK government departmental deadlines
- Consult with internal departments and functions to ensure procedures are followed
- Liaise with external customers where required
- Participate in external Customs Audits
