Description:

Responsibilities:

YOUR ROLE:

  • Supports the drive within Royal Philips towards Operational Excellence through implementation of processes and procedures to minimize risk and increase security for Royal Philips goods flow in the international Supply Chain
  • Driving Operational compliance via risk management
  • Responsible for local UK&I Customs Operations
  • Export Control Officer for UKI Health Systems organisation
  • Responsible for Initiating, driving and running local Trade Compliance improvement programs (such as training, process & systems roll-outs, compliance scoring).
  • Executes Global Trade Compliance strategies driving costs and compliance
  • Responsible for liaison with governmental and non-governmental bodies and agencies and global business partners on compliancy
  • Ensures liaison with functions such as Corporate Tax/Customs, CEC, Finance, HR, AME, IT
  • Coordinates Trade Compliance specialist projects (SCM) on time against requirements
  • Prepares and executes reports.
  • Plans and executes continuous improvement activities
  • Supports Goods Flow Control Board activities
  • Contributes and executes assessment or audit plan/policy
  • Responsible for Customs broker/Carrier communication for Customs purposes. Escalates the issues to central GTC team when necessary.
  • Supports Sector Supply Leads with 3rd party relationship management
  • Supports regular performance & KPI reviews, co-ordinate actions arising.
  • Identifies and delivers PDCA activities with 3rd party suppliers.

YOU’RE RIGHT FOR THIS ROLE IF:

  • You have 3 years + practical experience in Trade Compliance / Customs Operations (essential).
  • You are knowledgeable about post Brexit regulations (essential)
  • You are familiar with medical devices with the ability to demonstrate an understanding of the MDD & MDR regulations in the UK and the EU (desirable).
