Description:

Sandvik Mining and Rock Solutions is a business area within the Sandvik Group and a global leading supplier of equipment and tools, parts, service, digital solutions, and sustainability-driving technologies for the mining and construction industries. We are now looking for a self-driven, meticulous, and knowledgeable Trade Compliance Specialist with a university degree in a relevant field and a couple of years of relevant working experience to join the Trade Compliance team supporting Underground drilling, Surface Drilling and Digital Mining Technology divisions, and to help us ensure compliance in export transactions and maintaining adherence to both internal policies and national regulations. This full-time, permanent position is based in Tampere, Finland.

Your key responsibilities

  • Free trade agreements in Export Transactions: Ensure compliance with conditions in Free Trade Agreements and develop mandatory documentation for record-keeping.
  • Transactional Trade Compliance Evaluation: Evaluate exports on a transactional level to ensure compliance with Sandvik policies and national and EU regulations.
  • Approval Recognition: Identify transactions requiring additional approvals, such as export licenses from local authorities or internal approvals.
  • Restricted party screening: support in daily screening, arrange trainings and participate potential match investigations
  • SharePoint Coordination: Coordinate and develop the Trade Compliance SharePoint site for effective communication and transparency within the respective organizations
  • Compliance Audits: Develop and conduct compliance audits to ensure internal requirements are met.
  • Trade Data Classification: Support export control and tariff code classification, work closely with internal service center, R&D, and sourcing teams.
  • Identify and develop actively process improvements for Trade compliance.

Your background and what we find important

  • Proven experience in Trade Compliance, particularly in export transactions
  • Strong knowledge of HS & ECCN classification and national / EU regulations of export control restrictions
  • Understanding of Free Trade Agreements and Country of Origin rules.
  • Excellent collaboration and documentation skills.
  • Experience with SharePoint and compliance audits.
  • Ability to leverage technology to drive process improvements.
  • Fluency in English is a must in a global organization.
