JOB DESCRIPTION

An exciting opportunity to be part of JPMorgan’s International Trade Finance & Working Capital business.
As a Trade Finance and Working Capital - Control Associate in the Trade Finance & Working Capital Operations Team, you will interact with colleagues in various locations and functions within Global Trade and respective Technology teams. You will be required to influence partners to drive change, work towards reducing break volumes, enhance the timeliness of break clearance and ultimately contribute to an overall reduction in financial risk.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS, CAPABILITIES, AND SKILLS

  • Background in Finance or Product control
  • Knowledge of business processes and strong data analytics, with excellent attention to detail
  • Ability to manage functional partners and influence change across the broader organisation
  • Excellent teamwork and collaboration skills to work effectively with colleagues across locations and functions
  • Clear and concise communication skills, both written and verbal
  • A risk mindset, with ability to identify, communicate, prioritise and reduce risk in the environment

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS, CAPABILITIES, AND SKILLS

  • Payment experience
  • Trade Finance product experience
  • Experience in Accounting
  • Experience of Nostro / cash reconciliation and governance
  • Experience with Excel, Alteryx and Tableau

Responsibilities:

  • Oversees daily exception management activities, providing guidance and supervision to other team members
  • Ensures timely and effective resolution of exceptions
  • Leads regional and global governance calls with functional partners to ensure correct ownership, awareness and accountability
  • Collaborates with technology to improve the reconciliation infrastructure and drives these changes to completion with technology partners
  • Administers the correct communication and governance structure to keep Global Operations management informed on the status of reconciliations, number of breaks and any risk areas
