Salary - £40,000

YOUR SKILLSET FOR PERFORMANCE:

  • Proven experience (4 years+) in a Marketing, Brand or Campaign Manager role, preferably within a retail or consumer-focused industry – a background in B2B would be advantageous
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business and Management, or a related field
  • Strategic thinking coupled up with exceptional organisational skills to manage multiple projects while meeting deadlines
  • Strong understanding of print processes
  • Digital lens – challenging traditional ways of Marketing with a digital-first lens
  • Creative, with a strong passion for brand, customer and store sales teams
  • Excellent project and communication skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and provide internal/sales presentations

Responsibilities:

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING

Magnet have a fantastic opportunity for an ambitious, creative and experienced Marketing Manager to join the Marketing team, playing a pivotal role in breathing new life into our trade brand identity as well as amplifying our presence across key touchpoints and strategic partnerships. Reporting directly into the Head of Brand Marketing and Communications, you will be at the heart of the team, responsible for managing the Magnet Trade and Magnet Projects brands (B2B) end-to-end and Assistant Marketing Manager.
In this role, you will be responsible for promoting, strengthening and protecting the brand image reputation in both the physical and digital world, influencing the performance of key brand and conversion metrics. You will develop strategies and manage projects for new business opportunities, strategic partnerships and local marketing tactics, working closely on our proposition and overall execution across print and digital formats. You will have a passion for the customer and their journeys, enriching each touchpoint as you go.
The right candidate will be a creative marketeer, strategic thinker and quick self-starter, with “can do” attitude. We’re looking for an entrepreneurial, glass half-full Marketeer, that’s used to juggling multiple projects at once and willing to channel the status quo. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Leading and steering the Magnet Trade and Magnet Projects brands working closely with the Head of Brand Marketing and Communications
  • Responsible for development and execution of compelling online and offline campaigns with specific objectives, including digital marketing, commercial brand partnerships and in-store activations with a test and learn mindset that drives the proposition, ROI and lead-nurturing tactics
  • Direction and accountability for trade marketing execution, owning the marketing calendar and customer journey end-to-end
  • Ensuring the marketing and commercial teams are clear on the vision, launch and activation plans as well as changing needs of the customer and marketing landscape
  • Proactively engaging with strategic partners for everything from collaborations to events developing a strategy and calendar that activates the brand, increases awareness and drives sales performance
  • Analysing marketing data from multiple platforms and customer feedback, extracting key insights to help shape future marketing strategies and go-to-market strategies, complete with formal proposals and recommendations on tactics
  • An understanding and ease with: Performance Marketing, Display, Affiliates, Social Media, PPC, SEO, CRM, Digital and Traditional PR, UX, E-commerce and Brick and Mortar
  • Agility to flex approach depending on performance pulling levers needed at the right time working within a fast-paced retail environment
  • Effectively manage and keep within the marketing budget ensuring decisions are based on ROI
  • Develop brand and TOV guidelines and empower the team to reflect them within their work – setting a process to oversee their copywriting efforts from product descriptions to email sends and social posts, editing where necessary for quality, consistency and accuracy
  • Support the team, getting stuck into everything from new business opportunities to exhibitions, internal marketing communications to printed literature

Team and agency leadership

  • Motivating and supporting the marketing team and agencies, with one direct report, helping them to deliver the day-to-day whilst always improving processes and efficiency
  • Have passion for mentoring and coaching to get the best out of the team around you supporting their professional growth
  • Helping achieve KPI’s from the marketing Team to feed into wider business goals
  • Leverage insights from various areas of the business to inform planning and process
  • Attending and presenting at all-agency meetings and internal engagement events when required
