We are searching for the best talent for Trade Operations Strategy & Capabilities Lead (12 Months) to be in Brazil, Colombia, Chile, Argentina, Costa Rica, Peru, Panama or Mexico
Purpose
Skilled and experienced Regional Trade Operations Strategy & Capabilities Lead to join our team and drive strategic projects focused on operations optimization, financial controls, and digitization. As Regional Trade Operations Strategy & Capabilities Lead, you will play a crucial role in enhancing our Latam trade operations, ensuring compliance with international trade regulations, and implementing digital solutions to streamline processes.

You will be responsible for:

  • Develop and execute strategic projects to optimize international trade operations, including operations management, finance controls, digitalization and innovation on import/export processes, driving compliance and optimizing operations management.
  • Identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvement in international trade activities, such as customs processes, transportation optimization, and logistics cost management.
  • Lead international trade operations implementations, such us: New operations set up, processes and systems design and development, project milestones monitoring.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including operations, finance, legal, and IT, to drive digitization initiatives and enhance efficiency in trade operations through automation, data analytics, and AI technologies.
  • Stay updated with the latest trends and regulations in international trade, digitization, and financial controls to provide strategic insights and recommendations.
  • Conduct market research and analysis to identify new trade opportunities, potential risks, and competitive landscape in various regions.
  • Train and educate internal teams on international trade practices, compliance requirements, and digital tools to ensure consistent understanding and execution

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in international trade, supply chain management, finance, or a related field. Master’s degree or relevant certifications (such as Certified International Trade Professional) are preferred
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in international trade management, with a focus on strategic projects, operations optimization, financial controls, and digitization
  • Strong knowledge of international trade regulations, customs compliance, Incoterms, trade finance, and risk management.
  • Proven experience in implementing digital solutions, such as ERP systems, supply chain visibility platforms, trade management software, and process automation tools.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex data, identify patterns, and propose innovative solution
  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, set priorities, and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams, stakeholders, and external partners
  • Ability to adapt to a fast-paced and dynamic work environment, with a focus on continuous improvement and innovation
