We are currently looking for a Trade Surveillance Analyst to join our growing team in Belfast.
Responsibilities:

While the scope of each project may be different, your duties & responsibilities may include:

  • Monitor Trading Activities: Use surveillance applications to track price and volume movements in various financial products like equities and derivatives.
  • Analyse Data: Identify unusual trading patterns and investigate potential market abuse.
  • Report Findings: Prepare and present reports on suspicious activities to compliance and risk management teams.
  • Collaborate: Work with different teams, including compliance, risk management, and front office, to ensure effective risk management.
  • Improve Processes: Identify gaps in current processes and implement improvements to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.

Qualifications:

  • Strong educational background – Degree (Masters would be an advantage)
  • Excellent communication skills across all levels of seniority
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with good relationship building and engagement skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel, Word and PowerPoint
  • Knowledge: Understanding of financial markets and products, including equities and derivatives.
  • Attention to Detail: Ability to notice small discrepancies and patterns in large datasets.
  • Analytical Thinking: Strong problem-solving skills to analyse complex data and identify potential risks.
  • Adaptability: Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing regulations and market conditions.
