We are looking for an individual who has relevant work experience in a similar position, you’re confident, able to juggle multiple tasks and deal with our internal and external stakeholders promptly and professionally.

Having either a class 2 or 4 truck license would be desirable.

Additional Information

Responsibilities:

We have a fantastic opportunity for a Trades Assistant to join our in-house Truck Workshop team based in Christchurch. This role is an evening shift working 45 hours per week Monday to Thursday 3.00 pm – 1.30 am and Friday 3.00 pm – 8.00 pm.
If you’ve always wanted to gain experience or further develop your existing experience by working on diesel trucks, then this is the opportunity for you!

In this role, you will be assisting qualified Tradespeople and team leaders directly with all aspects of repair or rectification work on defective vehicles or equipment.

  • Assisting in fault/maintenance diagnostic activities
  • Testing vehicle and equipment and ensuring all tools and equipment used in the performance of work is safe to use and stored in a clean and correct manner
  • Maintenance servicing of heavy vehicles.
