Counter Culture Coffee is looking for an experienced Tradespend and Sales Analyst. This role will be responsible for the full life cycle of promotional spend and trade for all grocery accounts. The Tradespend and Sales Analyst will gather and analyze data through multiple sources and create reports to support sales reviews, customer business reviews, trends, pricing, and item distribution, while driving insights and action items. The analyst will be responsible for working closely with sales and finance to set up promotions in internal systems, track compliance, and manage the workflow of deductions. This is a fully remote position. We are looking for a self motivated, highly organized team member to drive improvements and a person who thrives in a learning environment. This position will report to the Director of Sales- Grocery, but work very closely with the Finance team.
Requirements:
- Synthesize syndicated category data (SPINS, Nielsen, IRI, or retailer portal data) and provide fact based analysis and recommendations, identify trends, and assist with retailer sales decks
- Collaborate with Sales to ensure planned volume and spend is accurately represented in the internal systems and Sales Force
- Collaborate with Grocery Coordinator and assist with forecasting/demand planning for all promotional periods
- Work with the sales team to forecast planned demand for our Operations team
- Analyze promotional activities, understand key outcomes, and recommend strategic changes based on analysis
- Support timely and accurate data entry and maintenance of trade promotions in internal systems (Netsuite)
- Maintain precise trade accruals - account specific analysis
- Partner with Brokers to review trade KPIs and spend
- Prepare monthly reconciliations for trade GL Accounts
- Ensure all trade spend and deduction information is accurately recorded
- Validate trade deductions and utilize TrewUp to manage workflow for distributors
- Build and maintain solid business relationships with internal and external partners
- Develop and maintain the deduction dispute process
- Prepare ad-hoc reports for sales director as needed
- Lead and/or participate in special projects as required
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & EXPERIENCE
- 5+ years of relevant Trade Spend/ Analysis experience
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
- Trade Management System experience is required
- Experience with ERP systems is required; NetSuite is a plus.
- Experience with Excel (Pivot tables, Lookups, Index, etc) required
- Prior experience with CPG is required
- A proactive, self-directed approach with the ability to learn quickly in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to leverage technology for efficient data gathering and analysis; comfortable with digesting large sets of data and preparing analysis
- Ability to manage deadlines, pivot and prioritize work, and accurately process data under time constraints
- Excellent written and verbal communication skill
THE PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS OF THIS POSITION:
- Light work - exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up-to 10 pounds of force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects.
