In MFT Energy we trade energy to make markets efficient and to facilitate the green transition. We are looking for a Trading Analyst to join our ambitious Gas trading team with experienced colleagues committed to achieving great results together.

YOUR QUALIFICATIONS AND PERSONAL SKILLS

• Proactive and curious mindset, with the willingness to challenge the status quo
• Quantitative background in Economics, Science, Mathematics, Engineering, Finance, or similar
• Experience with Python and standard libraries or another similar programming language.
• Experience with machine learning/econometric models and data-science fundamentals
• Strong analytic skills and an eye for detail
• The ability to work independently and structure your workload
• A positive and competitive attitude
• Fluent in English, both spoken and written, as our company language is English

• Develop automated trading strategies in collaboration with other analysts and gas traders by exploring new market opportunities and quantitatively backtest and evaluate potential strategies
• Create new forecasts with machine learning and statistical methods
• Carry out quantitative analysis of gas market data
• Develop and maintain new and existing tools and fundamental models
• Offer back-up on all critical tasks and processes
