Trading Standards Officer - Band 8 SCP 30-32 £38,223 - £40,221 plus £2,182 market supplement (pro rata)
Working Pattern Full Time , 36.25 hours per week (flexible working available 7am-9pm) (part time/reduced hours negotiable)

Trafford’s Trading Standards Team have two exciting new vacancies in which they are looking to recruit a Senior Fair Trading Officer or Trading Standards Officer.
The primary role of the Trading Standards Team is to carry out a range of regulatory and enforcement functions in the areas of consumer protection, including product safety, fair trading, metrology, underage sales and animal feedstuffs.
The Trading Standards Team are crucial to the Council meeting its statutory requirements in the above areas and the team provide specialist knowledge and advice in these topics. The work undertaken by the team directly contributes to the Council’s corporate priority of reducing health inequalities.
This role offers the flexibility of hot desking/home working together with field-based work.
