Key accountabilities:

  • Lead the team to deliver safe and effective traffic control services in accordance with provided work zone traffic management plans and in accordance with the Traffic Control at worksites manual and Council’s category ‘G’ registration
  • Demonstrated ability to read, interpret and setup Traffic Control Plans (TCP’s)and carry out ongoing checks of integrity of implemented devices
  • Assist in the preplanning, programming and delivery of routine works including post works record keeping requirements
  • Make modifications to traffic management plans provided by others in accordance with established and recognised standards when required
  • Contribute to a positive safety culture within the organisation through completion of required documentation, reporting incidents/hazards/near misses and contributing to team discussions
  • Initiate and encourage innovative work practices and procedures whilst maximising utilisation of resources
  • Use and maintain small plant and hand tools in a safe and effective manne

Responsibilities:

THE PRIMARY PURPOSE OF THE ROLE IS TO PROVIDE A HIGH LEVEL OF TRAFFIC CONTROL SERVICES IN THE CONSTRUCTION AND MAINTENANCE OF COUNCIL’S ROADS AND DRAINAGE INFRASTRUCTURE IN LINE WITH COUNCIL’S DELIVERY AND OPERATIONAL PLANS.

ABOUT THE ROLE

Full time: 76-hour fortnight (with opportunities for overtime)
Salary: Range from $56,217 to $64,651 pa + 11.5% super
