Responsibilities:

  • Attend track calls
  • Repair defect where possible
  • Liaise with Wessex Integrated Control Centre (WICC)
  • Compile formal reports detailing post incident / failure
  • Provide Fleet Fitter cover at outstations during major events
  • Review IT systems for defects and pro-actively monitor train defects and fix where appropriate
  • Liaise with Station staff when necessary
  • Obtain, use and care for and return all tools and equipment used
  • Work effectively as part of a team
  • Cover incident response turns at Waterloo
  • Actively participate in the reporting of and logging of near misses.
  • Liaise with Wessex Integrated Control Centre (WICC), station and depot staff when necessary.
  • Undertake additional training to ensure business needs are met, as specified by their line manager.
  • When requested you will carryout any MB3 work at any depot within the Fleet production London Area.
  • Additional tasks as specified by local manager / supervisor.
  • Principle accountabilities may differ from depot to depot and you will be required to sign the job description acknowledgement sheet.
