Responsibilities:
ABOUT THE ROLE:
As a Trainee Accountant, you will be working within a highly experienced team, supporting with all aspects of Financial Accounting. Full study support is offered to attain ACCA and on the job training and development will be provided. The role is fast paced, with lots of opportunity for learning and professional development.
The successful candidate will need to be based at our Cheltenham Head Office a minimum of 3 days per week, with the option to work remotely the remaining days. We value work life balance and offer flexible working alongside our hybrid approach.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
- Support the Finance Manager and Financial Controller to deliver the year-end statutory accounts for presentation to the board and then filing with Companies House.
- Support the Management Accountant and Finance Manager to deliver the monthly management accounts for presentation to the board
- Support the Income and Agency team members with the daily reconciling of income receipts
- To be responsible for the management of the finance team email inbox
- Support the Trainee Management Accountant with the purchase ledger process including bank reconciliations and management of the purchase invoice system
- Delivery of FCA reporting for internal review before submission
- Continual review of Internal Controls and processes, implementing the improvements and training out where needed.
- To prepare year end schedules to support the statutory audit with the external auditors.
- To be a key player on the year end audit, working with the management accounts team to complete the management accounts with statutory adjustments.
- Ad hoc duties or reporting as required by Finance Team.
