Description:
ABOUT YOU:
You will be a key component of the BG&E’s Bridge team and will strengthen the existing skills and capabilities to complement our other well-established disciplines.
As a bridge drafter you are expected to have:
- TAFE qualifications or equivalent experience
- Between 0-3 years of experience in bridge or structural drafting
- Intermediate AutoCAD skills and a willingness to learn new programs
- Attention to detail
- Strong time management and prioritising skills
- Well-developed interpersonal and verbal communication skills
- A practical approach
Key Accountabilities:
- Preparation of bridge design layouts and detail design drawings
- Maintaining quality and technical standards with your work
- Collaborate with project drafters, designers and engineers to develop and maintain technical skills
- Demonstrate active understanding of his/her discipline standards and drafting software
- Active problem solving as part of the project team
- General drafting/office duties – printing, scanning, document control
- Reporting to the Drafting Manager or project drafte
Responsibilities:
We have an exciting opportunity for a junior or trainee bridge drafter to assist in the delivery of design drawings for bridges and specialist structures. This role sits within the Bridge team and will be responsible for assisting with the delivery of high-quality design and advisory solutions to our clients for a variety of projects, from private asset owners, contractors to state government agencies.
