Description:

CONTRACT: PERMANENTSALARY: £11.44/H

A fabulous co-educational independent boarding school for children with military traditions. Set in 150 acres of Kent countryside near Dover. Catering for about 570 students and teachers. We offer a core feeding of AM snack, Lunch, PM snack, Supper and a 6th form cafe. There will be a good amount of hospitality offering at this location. Contracted Only for 44 weeks per year. This school operates 7 days a week so working patterns are 5 out of 7 days and has additional benefits of free parking and use of on site gym.

We are looking for a Trainee chef that can :

  • Assist in the food preparation process
  • Cooking and preparing elements of high quality dishes
  • Preparing vegetable, meat and fish
  • Assist other chefs
  • Helping with deliveies and restoking
  • Assist with stock Rotation and Cleaning stations
  • Contributing to maintain the kitchen and food safety standards
  • To follow cleaning procedures including use of equipment
  • Ensure the hygine,cleanliness and tidiness of the kitchen and food counters satisfaction

  • Ability to work under supervision and team player
  • Good oral communication
  • Hight level of attention to detail
  • Positive and approachable manner
  • Good level of numeracy and willingness to develop
  • Strong internal customer care skills
  • Confident and profesional
  • Full 5 years background check alonside criminal records
