Description:

We are currently recruiting for a Trainee for a Customer Service/Support/Administration role in the Automotive components/industrial fasteners industry.
This is a permanent role from the outset, following successful interview. Working hours are Monday to Thursdays 0730 - 1630 and Friday 0730 - 1200.

Responsibilities:

ROLE PURPOSE/OVERVIEW:

  • To ensure effective and efficient RFQs (Request For Quotations) to suppliers and quotations to customers.
  • To provide effective and efficient assistance to the Business Development Manager, and support to your team.
  • Provide excellent customer service and communication throughout the process to customers.
  • Assist the Business Development Manager in the generation of additional revenue from existing and new customers.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Administration and control of request for quotations (RFQ’s) from customers for new products and projects.
  • Reviewing of customer RFQ’s with Technical team to ensure all relevant information is available and feasible.
  • Liaising with Technical team regarding selecting appropriate suppliers for projects from current approved supplier files.
  • Administration and control of request for quotations (RFQ’s) to suppliers for new products and projects.
  • Reviewing of supplier quotations with technical team to ensure that feasibility documents have been completed and that any issues are addressed.
  • Preparation of quotations and pricing schedules to be supplied to the customer.
  • Participation in NPI and technical reviews between customers, suppliers, and internal departments.
  • Maintain correct customer and business information.
  • Liaise with Customers, Suppliers, Technical, Warehouse and Quality Departments.
  • Ensure smooth handover of products/projects to customer service and material planning teams.
  • Ensure emails and other correspondence are professional, contain the appropriate information whilst remaining concise.
  • Prompt answering and addressing of email and telephone enquires.
  • Assisting the Commercial & NPI team with other tasks and duties necessary for the smooth running of the department.
  • General administration.
