Description:
Trainee Dental Nurse
At Gentle Dental Care, we are continuing to grow and increase our opening hours.
We are now seeking a trainee dental nurse/receptionist for our dental practice. Full training will be given in all areas of the role and we will fund all necessary training to achieve your PDA and SVQ in Dental Nursing.
We are a friendly and independently owned dental practice, based in the picturesque town of St. Andrews, Fife, providing private treatment for our adult patients and NHS care for children.

Reception Duties:
- Greet and welcome patients as they arrive at the dental practice
- Answer phone calls and schedule appointments for patients
- Collect and process payments from patients and tally the banking at the end of the session.
- Maintain patient records and update information as necessary
- Assist with administrative tasks such as filing and scanning documents
- Coordinate with dental staff to ensure smooth patient flow and efficient office operations.
Dental Nurse Duties
- To assist the dentist chairside and provide patient care.
- To clean and process dental instruments in the Local Decontamination Unit (LDU).
-Helping with other non-clinical administrative duties.
Requirements:
- Previous experience working in hospitality.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong organisational and multitasking abilities
- Proficient in using dental software systems for scheduling and record keeping would be ideal but not essential as full training will be provided.
- Knowledge of dental terminology and procedures is a plus
- Ability to maintain patient confidentiality and privacy
As a Trainee Dental Nurse/ Receptionist, you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional patient care and customer service to our patients.
