    This is an opportunity to hone and develop your skills in Estimation in the Fire Protection sector and learn from the best in the business. Reporting to the Operations Manager the Estimator will work with the Project Manager, Passive and Sprinkler installation teams to quote and estimate key Sprinkler projects and work for commercial and residential Sprinkler projects. With extensive knowledge and experience within the team this Trainee role will be well supported with ongoing industry training and development. As the current Estimator will remain will company there will be plenty of support and mentorship offered in this role
    Job Description

Estimator duties include:

  • Prepare tender/quotations to customers with client schedules, submit tender documents.
  • Collate quotes from suppliers and subcontractors.
  • The ability to read construction drawings would be advantageous and sound Microsoft skills in particular Excel.
  • Compile detailed requirements for tender: Including, labour rates, project management, supervision, plant and equipment, preliminary and general, margin, preparing tags and clarifications.
  • Apply industry standards and ensuring they are complied with.
  • Visit Job site when needed.

Qualifications

Ideally you have experience gained in Quantity Surveying or Estimating gained within the construction sector. Prior experience in the Fire protection industry is not essential but a sound understanding of current codes, regulations and compliance would be advantageous, other key skills you will ideally have include;

  • Excellent communications and relationship building experience
  • Customer and quality focused
  • You’re a team player, detail oriented and have excellent communications.
