Valmet’s Pulp and Energy Business Line provides technologies and solutions for pulp and energy production and biomass conversion. Our global pulp projects range from process equipment deliveries to complete pulp mills. Valmet’s energy solutions include biomass-based energy boilers and rebuilds.
We are now seeking a highly motivated Trainee to join our Pulp and Energy Business Line finance team in Tampere. If you have a positive can-do attitude and a passion for finance, we want to hear from you!
Expectations
As a Trainee, Finance & Accounting you will focus on managing our project invoicing to our customers. You will work closely with various departments. You will also assist with controlling and reporting tasks. The position is 5 months temporary trainee -position. The position can be part-time or full-time depending on the candidate’s studies and availability to work. Our ideal candidate is someone close to graduating and searching for the first step in their career. Routine work doesn’t bore you, but you are also happy to take on a variety of different tasks. You should enjoy independent work, but not be afraid to reach out when you need help or information from others.

Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

• Project invoicing
• Assisting in month-end closing and reporting tasks
• Subcontractor financial data management, reporting and invoicing

To be successful in this position we expect you to have:

• Ongoing studies in finance, accounting, or related fields
• Analytical and problem-solving skills
• A detail-oriented mindset with a focus on accuracy
• Prior experience in accounting or invoicing is appreciated
• Good communication and presentation skills in English
• Good Excel skills, experience in any financial software is appreciated
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and manage multiple priorities effectively
