Description:
This role is a graduate opportunity for an entry level position in a financial services firm focussing on private clients. There is scope to develop in this role and progress further.
We are a Firm of Independent Financial Advisers based in Warwick (CV34). We currently have 6 Financial Advisers and 10 support staff, who are a mixture of administrators and paraplanners. We are a growing Company who are keen for a Trainee Paraplanner with aspirations to become a Financial Adviser, to join our team. There will be a requirement to attain the Level 4 Diploma qualification (CII exam route). Most of our existing paraplanners are working towards Chartered status. The Company provides support in the form of financial reward, time to study and sit exams and mentoring to help you achieve the required qualification(s).
Initially, the role would include the following tasks:
- Prepare client review packs – investment fund and product research and knowledge of provider websites
- Prepare suitability reports (investment, pension, and fund switch recommendations).
- Reports must be produced in line with company procedures and FCA (Financial Conduct Authority) guidelines
- Prepare correspondence to be sent to client(s), Insurance companies and third parties.
- A good knowledge and understanding of provider website and research tools
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements needs to be kept up to dateOver time, the full range of products ISA’s, Collective accounts, Investment Bonds, Personal
PENSIONS, GROUP PENSIONS, DEFINED BENEFIT SCHEMES, SIPP’S, SSAS, VCT’S, EIS’S AND INHERITANCE TAX PLANNING WOULD BE COVERED. THIS WOULD INCLUDE KNOWLEDGE OF PRODUCTS, FUND RESEARCH AND THE DIFFERING SUITABILITY REPORTS FOR EACH PRODUCT RANGE.SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE COMPANY DETAILS
- Liaise with internal technical and compliance departments
- The complexity of products and processes, will evolve over time and with experience
- Once familiar with the full range of products and processes, there may be the possibility of becoming a member of the company Investment committee
