Trainee Health and Safety Officer

Thistle Seafoods are recruiting for a Trainee Health and Safety Officer who is interested in progression. Full training will be provided so no qualifications are needed to apply. The successful candidate will be working within an established small team, but also must be confident lone working.

• Excellent attention to detail and confidence using all Microsoft packages.
• Ensure all compliance is in date and all administration is carried out correctly.
• Strong presence on the manufacturing floor assisting managers and the production teams.
• Attend Health and Safety management meetings and help implement existing and new legislation.
• Assist the Occupational Health team.
• Monitor and record any incidents correctly and accurately.
• Assist with a number of different internal and external audits.
• Confident communicating with people both verbally and over email.
  Candidates must have the ability to prioritise a demanding workload and have strong organisational skills. They must be able to remain calm under pressure and work to tight deadlines.
  Working hours are Monday to Friday 8.00am-5.00pm or 7.00am-4.00pm, this role will be based on location 5 days per week.
