Description:

Overview:
The London Borough of Harrow is looking for a dedicated Trainee HR Employee Relations Advisor to join our team. In this role, you will support the HR team in delivering a high-quality, consistent, and responsive HR service that meets customer needs and aligns with the Council’s objectives. Your responsibilities will span all areas of the HR remit.
As a Trainee HR Employee Relations Advisor, you will play a key role in transforming our HR service. You will ensure it provides highly effective, outcome-focused, and proactive support to our customers.
You will also serve as the first point of contact for customers within the People Management team, offering guidance and assistance as needed.

  • Experience of advising on employee relations issues in a timely and consistent way in a large organisation.
  • Experience of planning and managing and administering a mixed and varied workload of conflicting priorities responding effectively to the needs of all customers.
  • Highly developed interpersonal skills.
  • Good planning and organisational skills coupled with a strong focus on the delivery of the objective.
  • Creative and innovative in finding solutions to complex problems.
  • Knowledge, awareness and understanding of the public sector, including understanding the key drivers for change.
  • Able to work as a team player and contribute to the broader OD & HR agenda.
  • Understanding in the current thinking about people leadership, people management and organisational change.

Qualifications:

  • CIPD or equivalent professional body qualified or relevant work experience.
  • Evidence of CPD.
