KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

These will include having the drive and determination to learn:

  • Installation, refurbishment, maintenance of HV equipment
  • Interpret electrical drawings and records.
  • Carry out electrical testing and fault finding.
  • Carry out mechanical modifications and repairs.
  • Complete assessment and completion reports.
  • Sub-station installation, testing and commissioning.
  • Installation and modification of AC/DC wiring and earthing.
  • Assess safety and apply controls and safety measures required.
  • Completing RAMS, job packs, test certificates and reports.
  • Facilitate a safe working environment during high / low voltage working.
  • Ensure that all work is carried out in accordance with the standards, policies and procedures of Lucy Electric and its customers.
  • Maintain authorisations in accordance with legislative our safety procedures and industry best practice.
  • Liaise closely with team to understand and manage priorities.
  • Attend training and continuous development opportunities as required.

Desirable:

  • A background in engineering, utilities engineering, electrical contracting, hands on construction work.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum Qualifications, Knowledge and Experience:

  • Proven track record of experience in a desirable industry.
  • Full driver’s License

Desirable:

  • Certified in electricity at work and experience of delivering efficient and effective services to customers.
  • Knowledge of H&S and its practical implications.
  • Computer literate – skilled in MS office
  • Technically qualified with a BTEC, C&G or equivalent apprenticeship in Electrical Engineering
  • Have, or held authorisations – Electrical Private Networks, SSEN or one of the UK DNO’s

Responsibilities:
