Joining the Human Resources team at EMBL Heidelberg, you’ll have the opportunity to support scientists around the world, improve biodiversity in the face of climate change and make discoveries leading to improved human health.
This is an exciting time for our HR team as we work to implement a new ERP system across EMBL’s 6 sites. Delivering modern HR practices with and increased efficiencies will enable the team to focus on what matters most, our people.
During this busy time we have an opportunity for HR – Talent Acquisition Intern to join the Talent Acquisition team in Heidelberg for a period of 6 months initially.
This opportunity would suit someone studying a HR degree who is interested in gaining experience in talent acquisition and is excited by the challenge of providing an excellent service in a stimulating international environment. You will be part of the Talent Acquisition team responsible for delivering high quality, comprehensive recruitment in line with internal guidelines and procedures.
Your role
Reporting to the Head of Talent Acquisition & Contracting, you will support our Talent Acquisition Partners with a range of administrative tasks leading to the delivery of an end-to-end in-house talent acquisition process.
You will gain experience and be responsible for a range of talent acquisition processes including:
- Interview organisation
- Organising remote and on-site interviews with the possibility of participation in interviews
- Liaising with hiring teams as well as candidates to finalise and confirm interview schedules
- Supporting travel bookings including flights and accommodation for candidates where needed
- Maintenance of job openings in our online recruitment platform
- Preparation of vacancy notices and targeted advertisements of job vacancies social media marketing
- Liaising with candidates through various platforms ensuring a continuous excellent candidate experience
- Standard administrative tasks
You have
We are looking for a proactive person who would like to pursue a career in Human Resources.
- As our ideal candidate, you are studying Human Resources Management, Public/Business Administration or a related field.
- Commitment to providing exceptional customer service.
- Analytical and evaluative skills and ability to work effectively with people of different national and cultural backgrounds.
- You will also need to have strong organisational and communication skills, reliability as well as the ability to plan and prioritise your work.
- Excellent written and verbal English language skills are also essential.
You might also have
- Experience using an ATS (Applicant Tracking System)
- Experience gained in administration or HR environment
