More about your role
This role is part of our 2024 graduate programme, known internally as our Emerging Talent programme. As our Trainee Auditor you’ll support the centralised delivery of auditing within our leisure centres. Places Leisure operate or own 100 leisure centres across England.
The two-year programme will support you to develop the core skills, behaviours and technical ability to develop into an Auditor with the opportunity to undertake Auditing qualifications.
This is a new role to our Business Assurance team and will see you working within our Leisure Centres undertaking auditing activities around retail and cash transactions. As our Trainee Auditor, you’ll contribute towards the continuous improvement of both performance and customer service across the business by reviewing risk, making sure processes are as effective as they can be, and ensuring that appropriate levels of control and compliance are in place.
This role is Agile / Site based role with the successful candidate being required to travel between our Places Leisure sites on a weekly basis. A driving license and means of mobility is essential. There is considerable travel as part of this role with the successful candidate required to travel on a weekly basis.
The stat date for this role is the 16th September and includes a welcome induction week from our Leeds office.

More about you
You’ll be educated to a graduate-level with a degree within a related specialism such as Business Management, Maths or Accounting/Finance. You’ll know how to balance the books and have an understanding of cash and banking.
Strong mathematical and excel skills are essential to success in the role and these skills will be assessed throughout the process. A willingness to travel nationally on a weekly basis is essential for this role, so access to a car or other means of mobility & full driving license is required.
This is a largely independent role however support will be provided from our Business Assurance team. The ability to work independent and motivate yourself is key.
This role has numerous opportunities for long-term development and if the candidate shows interest could be supported to pursue professional auditing qualifications.
