JOB SUMMARY

Moog Aircraft Group is seeking a motivated Trainee NDT Technician to join our dynamic team at our Wolverhampton facility. This role offers a challenging and rewarding opportunity for those eager to develop their skills in non-destructive testing (NDT).

KEY SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

Recognized engineering apprenticeship (desirable).
Computer literacy.
Practical / technical aptitude with an interest in aerospace engineering.
Strong verbal and written communication skills for interpretation of procedures and preparing reports.
Professional attitude for engaging with all levels of personnel within the business.
Flexible work approach, capable of adapting to changing requirements and working independently within a small team.
Attention to detail, accuracy, and process improvement techniques.
Undertake any appropriate task within the department that fits skill level.
Willingness to work a shift pattern and overtime when requested.

Responsibilities:

Receive comprehensive training in NDT / chemical processing surface inspection methods.
The ability to pass both written and practical examinations.
Set up and standardize equipment.
Inspect parts using dye penetrant, magnetic particle, visual, and nital etch inspection techniques.
Interpret and evaluate inspection results for acceptance or rejection.
Accurately document inspection results.
Participate in internal and external process audits.
