Leveraged Finance is part of Debt Markets within Corporates & Individual Solutions (C&IS). Within UniCredit Leveraged Finance is responsible for all European financial sponsor driven LBO transactions as well as NIG financings for corpoates for loan and HYB. Leveraged Finance is working with a broad universe of clients ranging from top tier large cap private equity funds to leading mid and smaller mid-cap financial sponsors and corporatres, leading a strategic dialog with private equity professionals as well as management teams on C-level.

Tasks and responsabilities as a Trainee in the NIG Financing Solutions DACH team include:

• Origination, execution and portfolio management of financial sponsor driven and NIG corporate transactions with a focus on financing for loan and HYB
• Conduct research on market sectors and LBO targets
• Support preparing client presentations and pitches for general marketing activity and specific transactions
• Assist in preparation of credit papers and support leading credit processes
• Detailed due diligence analysis with conclusion about credit quality of LBO targets / NIG corporates
• Preparing detailed financial models in Excel including the development of sensitivity scenarios
• Support monitoring of LBO debt and NIG corporate financings
• Support syndication processes by writing / preparing syndication materials (e.g. IMs) for UniCredit led transactions
• Working in transaction based deal teams
