Description:

UHMBT and University of Cumbria are delighted to be offering this opportunity to join our organisation and start a career in nursing . This is a two year course and once you have successfully completed you will be a Nurse Associate (NA).
Following successful completion there may be further opportunity to continue your studies and apprenticeship to become a Registered Nurse (RN) . This will be subject to performance, attitude and successful interview.
Joining us as a TNA (Trainee Nurse Associate) is a great way to become a NA and offers a lot of unique benefits. You will be fully supported through your journey . You will be paid in line with agenda for change trainee pay (Annex U 21 salary percentage - yr1 70% and yr2 75% of the top of band 4) . If you already work for us , there may be opportunity for pay protection . You will be an employee of UHMBT receiving all the same benefits of your colleagues . The apprenticeship supplies you with a blend of " hands on " learning across our organisation to compliment the academic learning.
Please note the posts are available at Lancaster, Kendal and Barrow bases and placements will be cross bay.
We are a Teaching Hospital full of hard working and dedicated staff providing community and hospital services across the Morecambe area - an area covering a thousand square miles across south Cumbria and north Lancashire.
We are absolutely committed to making the Trust ‘a great place to be cared for and a great place to work’ through the delivery of the highest possible standards of compassionate care, as well as our research in education strategy to provide the very best patients and staff experience.
Our key values are compassion, dignity, respect and working in partnership with our staff, volunteers and partner organisations .
It is fair to say that it is the people that make our Trust what it is, and we are immensely proud of all our teams across the bay . We want to work with people who champion our vision and values . During the interview and selection process we will explore your awareness of how you demonstrate the trust vision, values and our behavioural standards framework.
We operate from three main hospitals-Furness General Hospital (FGH) in Barrow, the Royal Lancaster Infirmary (RLI), and Westmorland General Hospital (WGH) in Kendal, as well as a number of community healthcare premises including Millom Hospital and GP Practice, Queen Victoria Hospital in Morecambe, and Ulverston Community Health Centre.
FGH and the RLI have a range of General Hospital services, with full Emergency Departments, Critical/Coronary Care units and various Consultant-led services.
WGH provides a range of General Hospital services, together with an Urgent Treatment Centre, that can help with a range of non-life threatening conditions such as broken bones and minor illnesses.
All three main hospitals provide a range of planned care including outpatients, diagnostics, therapies, day case and inpatient surgery. In addition, a range of local outreach services and diagnostics are provided from community facilities across Morecambe Bay.
