Trainee Orthotic and Prosthetic Technician

APOS Ltd have exciting new opportunities for 2 trainee orthotic technicians, preferably, but not essential, with relevant experience working in a production environment. Experience in shaping and moulding materials by hand or of making craft bespoke items in a commercial setting would be beneficial. Similar experience in a non-commercial setting or an achievement in leaving certificate engineering/technology subjects will also be considered. This role involves the production of custom medical devices by preparing plaster moulds, shaping plastics and foams and hand finishing on machinery.
The ideal candidate should possess the following qualities.

Be flexible, adaptable and capable of working as part of a team.
Full training will be given and an apprenticeship leading to a formal qualification offered.
