TECHNICAL AND INDUSTRY EXPERIENCE:

  • Student/Internship experience is an asset.
  • Developing technical and practical design and drafting skills in the piping discipline.
  • Developing skills in design software.
  • Competent use of relevant software such as MS Office Suite.

Responsibilities:

PURPOSE:

Worley is now accepting applications for our Trainee Piping Designer role. This position has an anticipated start date of January 2025 or June 2025. Our team includes world class experts and dynamic go-getters. This is a full-time position based in one of our Worley office locations in Calgary or Edmonton, Alberta.
Under supervision and mentorship within the department, you will assist in the delivery of design and drafting services to Worley and its customers. We have multiple positions available on our Canada West Piping Design Team.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Under supervision you will:
  • Deliver piping specific design and drafting services that meet Worley, the customer’s and applicable statutory and regulatory requirements;
  • Perform design and drafting assignments on projects while meeting project requirements on time and within budget;
  • Identify and report changes to project scope;
  • Prepare engineering drawings and documentation.
  • Communicate effectively with the piping team and project stakeholders.
  • Establish and maintain good working relationships within Worley.
  • Identify issues and problems and ask for assistance when required.
