We are looking for individuals who are ready to kick-start their career in site management. To be successful as a Trainee in our Construction Academy, you will possess the following skills and attributes:

  • Experience and/or knowledge of WA residential building industry
  • Positive, can-do attitude with an openness to learning
  • Time management and organisational skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other computer programs
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Current C Class Drivers Licence and White Card
  • Diploma in Building and Construction or relevant trade qualification is desirable but not essential

Responsibilities:

As a Trainee Site Manager, you will be required to support Site Managers and develop your skills in preparation for site management responsibilities. As part of the Construction Training Academy, you will gain practical experience across end-to-end building processes and build on your knowledge through in-office and on-site learning.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Manage job round where required and maintain job flow and progress
  • Conduct daily site inspections and utilise construction checklist
  • Develop proficiency in using in-house computer programs and maintain accurate and up-to-date paperwork, invoices, call forwards and job programs
  • Learn safety practices on-site and promote safe work practices and quality control
  • Provide a high level of customer service and communication with all stakeholders
  • Develop and maintain service provided by trades and suppliers, and reporting of any inefficiencies
