Job Introduction
East Staffordshire Borough Council’s in-house Legal Services has an exciting opportunity for a Trainee Solicitor to join its friendly, supportive and experienced legal team on a permanent contract.
Eligible candidates should be have passed the Legal Practice Course or currently undertaking it at the time the contract begins. Previous local government experience would also be desirable but is not essential.
This post would suit a law graduate who is looking to begin a professional career and gain experience of in-house legal work.
The post will require a variety of duties commensurate with the experience of the candidate. The successful candidate will gain experience of in-house Local Government law to covering seats including, planning, licensing, contracts and procurement, property, litigation and information law as well as Local Government Law.
This is an ideal opportunity to experience and build a successful career as an in-house lawyer.
