KONE Corporate Financial Controlling i s the guardian of financial compliance of KONE and involves financial reporting, record-to-report process and financial controlling for KONE’s Finnish legal entities. KONE Group Reporting , a part of Corporate Financial Controlling, manages KONE’s global reporting and consolidation process and oversees the preparation of consolidated financial disclosures under IFRS. The team works closely with KONE’s business lines, country organizations and global functions supporting them by driving a financially sound business direction and providing relevant intelligence for decision-making. KONE Corporate Financial Controlling and KONE Group Reporting are part of KONE Finance function.
We are now looking for Financial Controller Trainees to join our Group Reporting team. We have two openings; both part-time (on average between 3-4 days per week) with full time work during busy periods being off-set with weeks when trainees can dedicate their time for studies, if needed. Preferred start date for these positions is in the end of October 2024 and both roles are fixed-term opportunities for approx. 10 months. The positions’ location is in the KONE Building, Espoo.

In the role you will contribute, inter alia, to the following activities:

• Monthly group consolidation and corporate reporting;
• Preparation of quarterly interim reports/annual financial statements under IFRS;
• Financial analysis and management reporting;
• Support for other KONE units, subsidiaries, and functions in various accounting and reporting matters;
• Development of the accounting and reporting processes;
• Any other additional tasks and projects based on your skills and aspirations.

Requirements for the position:

• Completed or almost finalized Master’s degree studies in a relevant field (e.g. Accounting, Economics or Finance) with a good academic performance
• Solid proficiency in MS Office;
• Excellent communication, problem-solving and time management skills;
• Fluency in English and Finnish;
• Positive attitude and openness to learning;
• Relevant experience in the area of accounting, reporting, or IFRS is considered to be an asset.

The working hours/days will be agreed separately based on the selected candidate’s profile. While we are working on a hybrid model, regular presence in the Espoo headquarters is essential for the role.
