Responsibilities:

THE ROLE

As a Trainer and Works Planner, you will assess and deliver training for apprentices and the wider stations group, including creating plans and resources. It’s a hands-on role, involving field-switching and working with the Transmission Substations team to manage projects. Reporting to the Planning and Training Delivery Manager, this role is based in Hamilton.

You will also be responsible for:

  • Assess training needs, design programs and schedule sessions
  • Create educational materials and conduct workshops, seminars and individual training
  • Monitor and mentor trainees, ensuring they meet training goals and pathways
  • Provide technical field training, support onboarding modules and specialist training initiatives
  • Conduct condition assessments on substation equipment, manage asset naming and create repair/replacement programs
  • Ensure efficient management of people, plant, and resources, while driving continuous improvement and cost savings.
