Description:
Veterinary Nurse Solutions is one of Australia’s leading education providers for the animal care and veterinary nursing sectors, operating the Australian College of Veterinary Nursing and the Australian College of Animal Care. We deliver innovative training primarily online, with students undertaking placement in a workplace near them.
We are now recruiting for animal technology trainers and assessors for an exciting new program in 2023. Both permanent part time and casual positions are available.
Tasks & Responsibilities
As one of our Educators or Assessors, you will be responsible for:
- Delivering assessment and training both distance and face to face
- Providing student support services via phone, email and video conferencing
- Working along side the Academic and Managing Director in maintaining learning resources
Qualifications
Experience & Attributes
- At least 5 years of experience working in animal technology
- Proven ability to facilitate and foster learning
- Excellent facilitation, coaching and mentoring skills
- Good emotional intelligence and the ability to adapt communication in different contexts
- Excellent problem solving skills and a critical thinker
- Attention to detail to ensure quality control and complianc

Responsibilities:
THE MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED FOR THIS ROLE ARE:
- TAE40116 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment or higher, OR the Assessor Skill Set (for casual assessment only positions)* Candidates with a firm plan on achieving the above qualifications prior to, or shortly after commencement are welcome to apply. Your cover letter must detail your plans for achieving this requirement.
- Animal Technology qualification (minimum of a Cert 3 level)
- Working with Children Check required prior to starting
Candidates with a degree in any related field will be highly regarded.
