Description:

SUMMARY

Under the guidance and direction of the Director of Training and Development, the Training Specialist is responsible for maintaining the standards of an organizations talent by providing comprehensive training at the start of employment and as needed throughout employment.
Essential Duties

Essential duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Facilitate in-person and virtual training sessions, workshops, and seminars, ensuring content is effectively communicated to participants.
  • Assist in designing and developing training programs and materials based on organizational needs, including e-learning modules, workshops, and other learning resources.
  • Develop assessments to measure the effectiveness of training programs and participants learning and use feedback to improve future sessions.
  • Collaborate with the Director of Training to identify training needs and schedule appropriate training sessions for employees.
  • Develop systems to monitor and ensure employees are performing their responsibilities according to the training.
  • Ensure the compliance of the companys employees to cooperate with standards and procedures during training sessions.
  • Provide guidance and support to participants throughout the training process, addressing any questions or concerns.

Essential Functions

  • Complete New hire training sessions in the classroom setting.
  • Communicate schedule and details for the day in/day out activities of new collections agents in the classroom.
  • Consults with Director of Training regarding training and certification requirements related to career development.
  • Conducts analytical studies, prepares and analyzes reports of findings and makes recommendations regarding training and development programs during the first 10 days of new hire training.
  • Assembles training packages, manuals, presentations, and job aids to the new hire class.
  • Provides feedback to the Director regarding issues in new hire classes that may require further intervention from HR if necessary.
  • Supports new hires in nesting for questions and be available for escalation calls and talk-off assistance from new hire to post 90 days.
  • Provides feedback to new hire agents regarding success and potential improvement.
  • Continues to assist new agents maintain call metrics after training and nesting period.
  • Assists floor managers in continued training and development as new hires move from the classroom to their managers.
  • Performs other related duties as needed.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Minimum of 1 year Collections experience
  • Minimum of 1 year training experience in a classroom environment
  • Experience in a call center is a plus
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to use data to improve a teams operational efficiency
