JOB DESCRIPTION

The CKD EHR by Epic Principal Trainer are certified in Epic and will work with the training manager, application coordinators, and application managers to develop and maintain the training program for the roles in their designated application. These duties include deciding curriculum delivery methods, oversees the creation and maintenance of a training environment, creating a course catalog and training schedule, and ensuring all users are trained before they access the production environment.
We are seeking a teammate with experience with technology, healthcare and adult learning coupled with prior experience/certifications as an Epic Principal Trainer. Ability to work effectively with staff and end-users that have a wide range of seniority. Interpersonal skills to function well in administrative, management, and patient care environment. Proficiency in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, and Power Point required. Prior Epic certification is required.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s Degree required
  • 2+ years of prior Epic training, instructional design and content creation experience
  • Certification in Resolute PB
  • SBO is a nice to have
  • Healthcare IT experience or working with physician practices
  • Experience with project management, adult education, and curriculum delivery
  • Travel: 20% potential
    Compensation $83,000-$93,000

Responsibilities:

  • Developing role-based training content, independently or with team members, using a variety of software programs, tools, and applications (such as Microsoft Office)
  • Designing, developing and maintaining instructional materials
  • Maintaining policy and procedure documentation
  • Incorporating feedback from others into existing training and training administration procedures
  • Learning new content and consulting with subject matter experts to develop training materials and answer any participant questions
  • Responsible for the building and testing of training environments, patient scenarios, and providing support and troubleshooting issues
  • Collaborating with other trainers by co-facilitating classroom instruction and assisting with exercises as needed
  • Preparing training lessons, printing materials, and setting up the training room and environment prior to the training session
  • Presenting information verbally and in writing in a clear and easy-to-understand manner
  • Following up with trainees outside of the classroom to offer additional support
  • Serving as an expert educator to internal staff
  • Training and credentialing additional classroom trainers as needed
  • Training staff and end users by teaching technical topics as needed
  • Managing projects by prioritizing projects and by creating and adhering to timelines
