Description:

Training Adviser – fixed term to 31/3/2025 (annual extension subject to funding from Welsh Government)
Futureworks delivers skills and employment programmes in Pembrokeshire and Ceredigion. We are recruiting a Training Adviser to join our team to deliver our Jobs Growth Wales+ programme and support our work with Schools. The role includes the delivery of qualifications in wellbeing, life skills and employability.
You will be someone who wants to make a real difference to a young person’s life. You will work mostly with learners aged 14-19 years and deliver positive and engaging learning sessions, supporting young people to be the best they can be. The programme aims to provide a mixture of universal and targeted work, delivering a range of positive activities with personal, social and political development embedded in the programme.
You will create an empowering, non-judgemental, positive and welcoming atmosphere within Futureworks, emphasising self-determination and assisting young people to make plans and decisions and to accept responsibility.
You will support young people by giving them a fresh start and an opportunity to change their perspective - to see life differently. You’ll inspire them to believe in themselves, maybe for the first time. You’ll help them overcome barriers to learning and give access to opportunities they would never have thought of before.
You will be working with some vulnerable young people who face social, domestic and emotional issues and who have either dropped out of education, or had poor experiences of formal education. You will need to be be emotionally resilient, non-judgemental, understanding and patient to be able to challenge some learner attitudes and behaviours in a positive way.

YOU WILL BE REQUIRED TO REGISTER WITH THE EDUCATION WORKFORCE COUNCIL AS A WORK-BASED LEARNING PRACTITIONER.

The Jobs Growth Wales+ Programme, led by the Welsh Government, is supported by the European Social Fund.
