QUALIFICATIONS
- 2+ Years of experience in safety training, program development or coordination for industrial workers;
- Knowledge in the automotive or facilities-service industries is considered an asset;
- Availability to provide training to staff during shift times, including weekends as required;
- Minimum High School level education;
- Excellent verbal and written English communication skills;
- Excellent public speaking skills with the ability to address a group;
- Proficient with general computer use and typing;
- Ability to commute to Woodstock, ON for work.

Responsibilities:
- Lead new-hire orientation training, including practical sessions and safety training;
- Conduct new-hire site orientation walkthroughs;
- Serve as a Certified Confined Space Trainer;
- Act as Confined Space Coordinator and perform rescue functions as required;
- Facilitate specialty training sessions (e.g., forklift, hoist, genie lift, fit tests, hearing tests);
- Manage administrative tasks related to health and safety training, including uploading practical training records into the DSS+ platform;
- Maintain safety tracking systems, boards, and programs to ensure compliance and readiness;
- Conduct refresher training sessions as needed with workers;
- Serve as a Joint Health and Safety Committee (JHSC) co-chair and provide support for meetings;
- Participate in workplace inspections and Safety Observation Tours (SOTs) to ensure safety standards are met;
- Other duties as assigned.
