Whether your role is to improve process efficiency, monitor aircraft movements or oversee safety measures, you’ll be vital to the continuing smooth running of our airport.
As the Training Assurance and Operational Projects Manager at Heathrow, you will play a crucial role within the Airfield Operations Management Team, ensuring that all training aligns with EASA and CAA standards to maintain a safe and efficient airfield. You will partner with the central learning team to develop and implement a comprehensive training plan, encompassing new starters, recurrent and targeted interventions based on competency assessments.

- Developing and maintaining a suite of technical reference or support training materials, such as the Airside Learning Library, and the Airside Operations Competency Matrix.
- Working closely and collaboratively with the centralised learning team.
- Act upon the outputs of the Airfield Operations competency management scheme, to ensure compliance across the team.
- Lead the mentoring and technical sign off for front-line colleagues.
- Review and further assure the third-party training assurance activity carried out by the learning team.
- Communicate effectively with the Airfield Duty Manager team in order that project requirements are fully understood and delivered successfully.
- Have significant Airfield Operations experience.
- Have training knowledge and understand competency matrix.
- Ability to compose high quality formal documentation, by using strong communication skills, written and verbal.
- The ability to demonstrate good quality stakeholder relationships.
Ideally you will have:
- A familiarity with the regulatory environment, which Heathrow operates under and aware of the relevant documentation.
There’s something so special about working at the world’s most iconic airport. Its sights. Its sounds. Its constant air of excitement. Heathrow is an amazing backdrop to a career filled with unique opportunities.

It brings out the best in all of us. And inspires everyone to deliver on our ambitious plans. Together, we’re working to welcome millions more passengers while ensuring aviation can continue to be a force for good by leading global efforts in sustainability.
