As our Training and Development Advisor, you will be responsible to support company-wide duties such as, facilitating, identifying, implementing and administering various training and development initiatives and processes. Some of the additional expectations of this role include:
- Coordinating the overall corporate Training and Development function ensuring delivery of activities that support individual and organizational performance.
- Organizing and maintaining detailed documentation and budgets related to training and development activities.
- Conducting annual organization-wide training needs assessment, identifying gaps to support the overall performance and effectiveness.
- Maintaining a comprehensive and compelling Onboarding Program to support effective learning and engagement.
- Maintaining corporate training matrices in collaboration with managers, subject matter experts (SMEs), and other advisors as necessary.
- Developing and maintaining organizational communications to ensure employees have knowledge of events and resources.
- Implementing professional development programs to support continuous learning and skill enhancement for employees at all levels.
- Fostering connections with external training providers and vendors.
- Stewarding safety leadership in all work activities to support achievement of the organization’s safety objectives and targets and adhere to safety standards, policies and procedures established in the HSE system.
The successful candidate would bring a variety of competencies to the role including the ability to:
- Lead activities around the full training and development cycle
- Translate training and development needs into strategies and solutions to meet those needs
- Evaluate and research training options and alternatives
- Communicate clearly and effectively both in writing and verbally
- Analyze information and situations to make timely decisions
- Adapt to changing situations and priorities
- Deliver top-tier customer service and solutions
- Manage and coordinate multiple activities and projects in a dynamic environment
- Organize and maintain detailed documentation and budgets
- Collaborate and manage relationships with across diverse employee, manager, and supplier groups.
- Travel and/or work additional hours as operational needs require.
Candidate must possess the following experience, qualifications and/or education:
- Minimum 3+ years of experience in a Training and Development, Education, Human Resources and/or other related field.
- Post-secondary education in Training and Development, Education, Human Resources and/or other related field.
- Professional in Learning and Development (CPLP) certification - preferred, not required.
- NOTE: All combinations of education in a related and experience will be considered.
- NOTE: Candidates who advance through the hiring process will be required to submit a current Certificate of Conduct
