Salary: £35,131 - £39,004 per annum (depending on qualifications and experience)
Contract Type: Permanent, Full Year
Hours: 37 hours per week (including up to 2 evenings a week and some weekends)

    Join a dynamic team at the College’s Energy Systems Centre, part of the Construction Academy, where they are committed to advancing green skills and energy technology. We are looking for a passionate and experienced Training & Development Co-ordinator to help develop and deliver a cutting-edge curriculum in renewable and green energy.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Level 3 qualification in Plumbing/Gas discipline.
  • CCN1 gas qualification and associated units.
  • PTLLS or equivalent teaching qualification.
  • Assessors Award A1 or equivalent.
  • Cert Ed or equivalent (desirable).
  • Level 3 in Renewable Energy or Electrical Installations (desirable).

EXPERIENCE:

  • Installation and maintenance of domestic electrical, plumbing, heating, and gas systems.
  • Experience with solar thermal and solar PV systems (desirable).

SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

  • Ability to multi-task and manage time effectively.
  • Strong planning, scheduling, and organizational skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficient IT skills.

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Ability to work evenings and weekends as required.
  • Willingness to travel independently for work-related duties.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and vulnerable adults.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and optimize curriculum provision to maximize income generation.
  • Deliver training and assessment sessions in plumbing, gas, oil, and renewable energy systems.
  • Identify and develop new curriculum provisions in mass market renewable and green energy.
  • Ensure compliance with quality assurance procedures and statutory regulations.
  • Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to promote the Energy Systems Centre.
  • Maintain accurate records of business development and course delivery.
  • Seek out sponsorship opportunities to generate income and enhance the Centre’s profile.
  • Provide teaching on apprenticeship courses within the Construction Department as required.
