Description:
JOB SUMMARY
A highly dynamic role that will will involve working at the forefront of training delivery at RAF Wittering. A role that will allow individuals to develop personally as well as professionally.
This position is advertised at 37 hours per week.
JOB DESCRIPTION
In support of OC FDS, you will:
- Support course development and administration of Agile Combat Employment Directed Individual Training (ACED IT) programme.
- Undertake course InVals and monitor feedback for future course improvements.
- Co-ordinate and manage the Commanders statistical dashboard and associated tasks.
In support of the Station training Officer, you will:
- Support course development and administration of the Station Arrivals Programme and Junior Aviators leadership Course.
- Undertake course InVal and monitor feedback for future course improvements.
- Manage the Force Development instructor’s database.
- Co-ordinate Stn training support visits on behalf to the STO and FS PEd.
- Uploading of Training Records and documentation for all service personnel to Edossier in a timely manner.
- Administer the loan of T&D Audio Visual Training Equipment (AVTE) and publications using the online database.
In absence of FDS Supervisor, you are specifically responsible to the PLA for:
- All administration of Mandatory Military training courses.
- Maintenance of Training Centre Classroom online booking system.
- Control the out of hour’s access to HQ FDS.
- Ensure building users are aware of the simplex door code and key safe codes prior to using the building.
- Ensure new users receive a Health and Safety brief.
- Order and manage the stationery for Training and Development and Personal Learning Flight.
Maintain the Station Library:
- Amend the online loan database with all relevant details.
- Hastening action for outstanding loans from stock and check database t regular interval throughout the year.
In conjunction with the other FDS Admin Officer, you are responsible for:
- Liaising with internal/external customers or service providers.
- The distribution of advertising of promotional material, training programmes and course dates.
- Co-ordinate and deputise for FDS Admin Officer to ensure adequate cover is maintained to ensure business continuity in the absence of other colleagues.

Where business needs allow, some roles may be suitable for a combination of office and home-based working. This is a non-contractual arrangement where all office-based employees will be expected to spend a minimum of 60% of their working time in office, subject to capacity and any required workplace adjustments. Requirements to attend other locations for official business, or work in another MOD office, will also count towards this level of attendance. The post does not offer relocation expenses.
External recruits who join the MOD who are new to the Civil Service will be subject to a six-month probation period.
