Description:
Responsibilities:
- Assist with design, development and delivering of training workshops that are both engaging and informative and fit with the Merrion’s high standards and level of service. Training ranges from a packed induction schedule, mandatory for all new employees, to statutory training, skills development and product knowledge for all roles in all departments
- Be present in Departments, actively observing standards in action, observing training needs and responding through the provision of both on job and off job training activity.
- Maximise the learning capacity of our T&D system ‘FLOW’. Assist the HR & 8Training Manager with the completion of all online T&D activity.
- Effectively communicate training plans and schedules throughout the hotel.
- Carry out monthly training audits with Department Heads.
- Plan a monthly training calendar in conjunction with hotel trainers.
- Source and liaise with external training providers as required.
- Carry out a training needs analysis and use results to devise the Hotel Training Plan.
- Be considerate of the annual training budget.
- Offering guidance and support to employees when approached for help with any training or development matter.
- Assist to mentor Merrion trainers where appointed.
- Manage work experience students from request stage to completion of their week with us.
- Train all newly appointed managers on HR policies and procedures and offer guidance and support as required.
- Assist with occasional HR tasks and project
