JOB DESCRIPTION

We are looking for a skilled and driven Training Manager to facilitate and assist in the development of learning experiences that support inclusive talent development at Aramark. With the support of our Global Training & Learning Team, our goal is to reinvent our development programming here at Aramark Canada, by creating and delivering leadership development as well as, just-in-time learning experiences that support the knowledge, capabilities and skills managers need to be effective.
We are looking for someone with a passion for and experience with instructional design, facilitation and program delivery, and data analytics to improve our learning programs. The role will work closety with our Talent Development/DEI Director, Human Resources and the Business Leaders to develop and continuously improve learning experiences using an array of creative approaches to drive productivity, innovation, and operational excellence.

QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor’s degree from four-year college or university in Human Resources, Organizational Development, Business Administration or related fields; or equivalent training, education, and experience.

  • 2-5 years in a leadership role in the food/restaurant service industry
  • Experience in training and development, including instructional design, training delivery, and assessing training effectiveness.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage and influence others.
  • Fosters teamwork and collaboration across a wide range of teams..
  • Forward-thinking, detailed-oriented, excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills.
  • Proficient in Canva, Smartsheet, Microsoft Suite, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
  • Ability to work well under pressure, with proven time management skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment and organize complex information.
  • Ability to works across different functions and build relationships with multiple stakeholders.

Responsibilities:

  • Support the planning, design, coordination, and implementation of training initiatives in collaboration with the Talent Development/DEI Director.
  • Assesses training needs of the workforce and assist with creating programs that align with the organization’s strategic goals & objectives, enhance organizational effectiveness, and support the growth and development of our teams.
  • Collaborate with the Talent Development team in the US to ensure Canadian participation in the various levels of the Aramark Leadership Development Program.
  • Evaluates the effectiveness of training programs and adjust accordingly
  • Seeks to improve Learning & Development methodologies and delivery
  • Maintains records of training and development activities,
  • Collaborates with other HR professionals and trainers to share best practices and monitor quality & impact of programs & initiatives.
