About the Training Manager – Bird:
MarketStar is looking for a Training Manager to support our Bird team in Dublin. As a Training Manager, you will oversee a team of Sales and Product Trainers, as they assess training needs, develop educational materials, and coordinate with departmental heads to ensure the effectiveness of training initiatives. Additionally, you will be responsible for monitoring and evaluating the impact of training programs, ensuring continuous improvement and alignment with organizational goals.

What Will You Do?

  • Lead and mentor a team of training coordinators and training specialists
  • Manage and coordinate with internal trainers and Bird enablement team
  • Plan and execute workshops, seminars, and other training events.
  • Conduct training needs analysis to identify skill gaps and training requirements across the organization
  • Develop comprehensive training programs and materials that align with organizational goals and objectives
  • Create or curate engaging training content, including presentations, manuals, online modules, and other instructional materials
  • Develop and implement methods to evaluate the effectiveness of training programs, such as surveys, assessments, and feedback forms
  • Analyze training outcomes to determine the impact on employee performance and productivity
  • Partner with revenue operations and QA and use evaluation data to refine and improve training programs and strategies continuously
  • Oversee the selection and implementation of training tools, technologies, and learning management systems (LMS)
  • Provide ongoing development opportunities for the training team to enhance their skills and knowledge
  • Collaborate with department heads, Sales, Marketing, QA, Product and other stakeholders to align training initiatives with organizational goals
  • Communicate training progress and results to stakeholders and through regular reports and presentations.
  • Ensure all training programs comply with industry regulations, company policies, and legal requirements.
  • Develop and enforce standardized training procedures and protocols
  • Stay updated on the latest trends and innovations in training and development to incorporate new methods and technologies
  • Identify and implement best practices in training and development to enhance program effectiveness
  • Support employee career development initiatives by providing relevant training and development opportunities
  • Design and implement comprehensive onboarding programs for new hires to ensure they integrate smoothly into the organization
  • Identify potential risks associated with training programs and develop strategies to mitigate them

What Will You Need to Succeed?

  • 5+ years of experience in Sales Training and 1+ years of experience in leadership; experience in SaaS Sales, IT Services, or system integrator space preferred.
  • BA Degree/ Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience
  • Strong sales expertise including in depth knowledge of various sales methodologies (SPIN, Challenger, Sandler, Winning by Design etc)
  • Experiencing designing, building and executing on training programs for dynamic teams.
  • Hands-on experience in sales and ability to provide real-world examples and insights
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with an ability to engage an audience both in person and remotely.
  • Ability to engage with and motivate sales professionals of all levels of experience and tenure
  • Adaptable and dynamic
  • Strong analytical and assessment skills to evaluate data, identify trends, and make strategic recommendations to drive performance and make continuous improvements.
  • Highly organized and detail oriented
  • Strong communication skills supported by an energetic and engaging attitude
  • Ability to be flexible and agile in responding to evolving business priorities and dealing with ambiguity
  • Ability to work collaboratively, partnering across the organization and with internal and external stakeholders
  • Self-motivated, proactive team player with innovative ideas
  • Tech-savvy with an affinity for innovative and emerging technology
  • Self-reliant, adaptable, decisive, and professional; able to effectively multi-task in a dynamic environment
  • Fluent English Speaker with additional language a benefit
  • Proficient in basic computer skills, Microsoft Office, GSuite, and general sales tools such as CRMs.
